Ever experienced hearing a noise that seems only you can hear? Then I tell you, you are not hallucinating or dreaming, not even close to experiencing delusions. If you are hearing noises that seems to go in harmony or rhythm as your heart beats then you may be suffering from Pulsatile Tinnitus.
This is a condition wherein people suffering from this condition actually hear noises that are not of external in origin. Pulsatile Tinnitus is being recognized by the whooshing or the thumping sound as your heart actually beats. This condition might be the result of either of the two; first is that the blood flow is increased or it may be due to the constriction of the opening of the blood vessel.
The sound that you are hearing is actually the blood as it rushes through the blood vessels or arteries that are of course nearest to the ear. But do remember that Tinnitus is actually the noise that you are hearing. Keeping that in mind, not all sounds you hear are Pulsatile, some may be due to the damage of the ear, head trauma or any other events that might cause the malfunction of the eardrum or the ear itself. In most cases, the pulsatile tinnitus may develop in only one ear.
The problem with this condition is this condition is that people, who actually experiences hearing noises tend to ignore this simple signs, thinking that this might be normal when in fact it could even go worse. And for this very reason some people will find that it is a serious case and should not be treated lightly. We should know that every action, tiny detail of responses of our body is reacting to the different stimuli.
For example a slight concussion over the head might be the cause of the noise that you are hearing. And yes, as mentioned these noises, with the absence of concussion and the like, the condition pulsatile tinnitus might come into surface.
Pulsatile Tinnitus might have springed up from high blood pressure which is, as a matter of fact has become the leading causes of such condition. Some other causes are infections and tumors who are equally as dangerous as hypertension or high blood pressure. One of the best alternatives for preventing high blood pressure, thereby reducing the risk for having pulsatile tinnitus, is Garlic.
Garlic is known for the lowering or decreasing the systolic pressure by 20 to 30 mm Hg and the diastolic pressure by 10 up to 20 mm Hg. Moreover, Garlic can actually decrease the cholesterol level of the person, given that he is taking garlic as prescribed by the physician.
Pulsatile Tinnitus may seem harmless but like any other diseases, they seem harmless at first, we perceive them as unthreatening but later did we know we are suffering from something because of our negligence. We ignore simple things, simple reactions by our body. So we should always be on the guard to avoid this condition to happen.
